It’s Teacher Appreciation Week—a time to honor the devoted teachers in our lives. This week we are highlighting five teachers who were nominated by colleagues for their outstanding contributions and dedication. Each of these teachers will receive $100 in books from Booksource. Thanks to teachers everywhere for all that you do!
Katherine Speagle
Nomination:
Kathy is an avid reader and absolutely fantastic teacher. She turns students on to books in her Reading Plus class. She connects with students on all levels and never gives up on them. Kathy has a fabulous sense of humor and injects it into her teaching. She’s very creative and can turn anything into a teachable moment. Even during her battle with cancer. She started a book club with students with her own funds. This has grown and the conversation surrounding the titles she chooses is very high level. SHE IS AMAZING!
