It’s Teacher Appreciation Week—a time to honor the devoted teachers in our lives. This week we are highlighting five teachers who were nominated by colleagues for their outstanding contributions and dedication. Each of these teachers will receive $100 in books from Booksource. Thanks to teachers everywhere for all that you do!

Mindy Butler

Nomination:

Mindy has the amazing yet challenging job of working with all students in her building as the Academic Lead Teacher. She is in charge of planning Mindy Butler with teachers, modeling lessons, and intervening with students that need extra support. This is a position that requires many hats to be worn at one time. I had the privilege to pull intervention groups at Mindy’s school. While many schools and districts react when they receive test scores/data back, I was so impressed at the proactive nature and smoothness of how Mindy and her school view intervention needs. It is Mindy’s leadership, calm nature and tremendous knowledge base of instructional strategies that makes her a huge asset to her campus.
